100 Days of Kindergarten

Today is the 100th day of Kindergarten for Alan. They had to do a poster/project to represent 100. Alan really LOVES to play with my scrapbooking tools so he decided he wanted to use 100 wiggly eyes. I asked how he wanted to use the eyes and he decided we could cut out people with my cricut. He gave me the paper doll cartdrige for Christmas. We decided we should use 200 eyes and make 100 people. He is really into the wii so we made the title of the project be 100 Wii People. He picked out 10 different pattern papers from my stash and we cut 10 people from each pattern to show groups of 10 within 100. It took Alan all weekend to finish his poster, but he did it all himself. Notice the glue work :)
Here are some pictures of the progress.

Plumbing Plunders

Well this may get a little long winded as our plumbing problems have been on going for a long time. For those of you who don't know we built a brand new house and moved in April 14th, 2006 so it's less than a year old. This past summer I noticed that our toilets and sinks gurgled often and in August I called the builder to send the plumbers out under our 1yr warranty to check it out. They came and basically made me feel like I was hallucinating. They said they cleaned the lines and there wasn't anything suspicious so if they gurgled again to give them a call and they would come back out, but if they were REALLY gurgling the problem would mean tearing into our foundation and we wouldn't want that now would we. No, I didn't want that so when they started gurgling again in the fall I just ignored it as the plumber said it wasn't really an issue. Well in February 2007 it could no longer be ignored as sewage started coming up the drains in our shower and bathtub...

Santa Claus is Comin' to Town

Well, I'm not sure what made me think I could sew. . . I thought sewing a santa suit wouldn't be too difficult if it was part of a "kit". The base playgroup was doing some Christmas pictures of the kids and I thought I could get the suit done in time to have Daniel take an early lunch and show up as Santa. Well this "kit" had very confusing directions. They may as well have been written in Japanese!!! After spending an entire 3hr naptime studying and attempting to cut out the pieces I was beyond frustrated and ready to cry. I ended up using my resources and sending out a very desperate email to EVERY email address I had for people that lived near me (there are some playgroup lists with emails of people I don't even know). Within 30 minutes a friend, Erin, from my MOPS group responded so I called her and she was able to help me figure out how to cut the pieces out correctly!!! Ok so the pieces are cut out, know what do I do!?! Well. yesterday I r...

I just updated pictures on Picasa with a 2009_May album. There are some older pictures in that folder that I just received from Alan's teacher in order to make the Kindergarden slideshow. I LOVE the pictures from field day!! I will try to upload the slideshow here.
