“Yellow M” On the road again, I just can’t wait to get on the road again!! We started our journey yesterday afternoon. Daniel had a couple meetings get cancelled at work so we left home around 2pm. The boys are so pumped to go to Texas!!! They can’t wait to see Grandpa Bear, Big D, Kristine, Aunt Nikky and Uncle James. Alan has taken on the family job of scout. He like to point out all the “Yellow M”’s and Burger Kings he sees. He can spot them from miles away and thinks he is sooo cool saying “Yellow M” instead of McDonalds!! On the way into Pensacola he heard Daniel and I talking about stopping for dinner and was very upset when we decided to eat at Dairy Queen instead of a “Yellow M” or Burger King. He was very quick to point out to Daddy that we had just passed two!! He calmed down with his Green Mr. Misty aka Incredible Hulk Juice and ice cream cone for dessert  We had hotel reservations on the other side of Baton Rouge (almost half way) and rolled in to the Holiday Inn ...

We had an AMAZING Memorial Day weekend. Daniel's unit got Friday AND Monday off so we loaded up the van on Friday morning and drove 6 hours south to Orlando. Daniel signed us up for some timeshare lecture that got us 3 nights at the Holiday in for $100 (normal rates for this location on Universal Ave are $129+ per night). We got checked in and walked over to Mommy's favorite restaurant, Carrabas for a late dinner. On Saturday morning we did our required tour of the timeshare and listened to all their rules and regulations. It wasn't difficult to say NO as the lowest price they could come down to was $28K AND $650 in yearly maintence fees. I couldn't even believe it, after we told them no, they actually offered to set us up with a mortgage. After catching my breath I told them with bugged eyes "If we can't pay for vacation up front then we don't go on vacation!! There is absolutely no way we will go in debt or MORTGAGE a vacation!!!" My mom flew in to Birmingham to spend a weekend with the boys and me. Here is the boys reaction when she got off the plane. We had been planning on seeing Thomas the Train in Calera, AL since January. On Friday we drove up to Alabama and picked Grandma up at the air port in horrible storms. Turns out the storms were so horrible they destroyed the tents and activities at Thomas the Train and the event for Sat and Sun got CANCELLED!!! I think this was a way bigger disappointment for me than anyone else. It was cold and dreary on Sat AND we weren't going to see Thomas the Train !?! We ended up going to the Birmingham zoo with our friends the Tuckers and ended up having a great time. I posted several pictures from the weekend and this past week in the 2008_April album on the NEW Saucer Family website. A special thanks to Nathan and Chalane for letting us stay with them and hosting our weekend with Grandma. We had a great time!!!

Drum roll please. . . . The baby in the picture with Grandma is Alan. I couldn't resist posting an old photo of Alan when he was about the same age as Joey is now!! I don't know where the time has gone. Eddie turns 3 in a week and Joey is starting to crawl already :) Have a great day!!

WoW!!! What a weekend! We took the kids and went to the air show out at the base this weekend. Aidan spent the night with us on Friday night then we met up with Ketan, Missy and Emily and headed to the base. We hiked from the base gym parking lot across the base to the flight line. Then we called Missy's sister, Michelle, to sit with her and the kids, Lexy and Michael Alan. The boys were excited to see all the planes and watch them spin in the sky. They were even more excited to horse around and chase each other!!! The United States Air Force Thunderbirds in formation One of the piolts waving as they head down the runway. I went to a Pampered Chef party last fall and the cookbooks were on special. I ordered one with new healthy recipes and one called 29 Minutes to Dinner. We LOVE them both. I was sceptical about the 29minutes book, but we have not only LOVED the food, it's taken less than half hour to make, even with 3 boys under age 5 screaming, fighting, and calling me away from the kitchen!! The word of the day today is WAIT. I am so incredibly proud of Eddie for his behavior today when you consider all the waiting the poor 2 yr old survived. We took Alan to school bright and early. Then it was off to the Dodge dealership to get the ABS checked out on the van. They said the diagnostic would take 1hr-1:15 Max. Well 2 hrs later they came to tell me a sensor needed to be replaced and it would only take 45min -1hr max. You can about guess how long that took. The kicker was that Joey had his 6 month check up at the base at 1pm and if you are late they contact Daddy's commander!!! We ended up spending over 4 hrs in the waiting area and for a 2 yr old Eddie did a great job!! I forgot to blog about the fact that we have been in potty training for the last 2.5 weeks and he seemed to enjoy getting me to take him to go potty then tell me it wasn't working. He has mastered STANDING at the toilet to pee and won't have anything to do with the potty chair. We have e...

We were unsuccessful in getting the new playground equipment at Alan's school because the cut off for commenting came too fast. The PTO is trying to get the hamburger helper grant again and we need all the comments we can get by the end of the month. Please take the time to fill in as they acutally had to close the playground for a couple days to remove some unsafe building equipment that was left there!!! Eddie seems to have hit that magic time where you become obsessed with the WIGGLES!!! He wants to have them on the TV all the time. He will even stop to watch them once in awhile :) We don't have any wiggle toys at our house, but he sure enjoys them at other friends' houses. His birthday is in April so if you are looking for hints he would LOVE anything with the Wiggles on it. Let us know if you find any DVDs and we'll let you know if he has them or not. Sorry I haven't been blogging lately. Joey is breathing 100% better, but fighting a runny nose. I also think he will be gettting teeth in soon. Eddie and I are hopefully toward the end of fighting a head cold. We enjoyed a great visit from Aunt Nikky in January and there is a new album of pictures from her trip on our NEW Saucer family website link. I also finally got the rest of Christmas, Joey's baptism and any other pictures sorted, edited and posted for you to see what we've been up to the last couple of months. I spent the Martin Luther King weekend scrapbooking at the Majestic Beach Resort and had a great time. I did a Stampin' Up booth to display things I've stamped recently and to teach some stampin' classes. I met lots of great people and hope to stamp with them in the near future. Today was a long and challenging day. We called the doctors office yesterday as Joey was not only fighing off a cough, but also seemed to have a bit of trouble breathing. The base nurse had a million questions for me to try to treat him over the phone as there were NO appointments available and she didn't really think it was bad enough to go to urgent care. We got him an appointment for 7:30am today. He was pretty bad when we called, worse this morning when he woke up and his chest was caving in as he breathed when we arrived at the base hospital to see the doctor. The hospital staff remained very calm, but we did NOT have to wait for anything and they pulled the doctor out from seeing another patient. After all the vitals and routine stuff they did a breathing treatment to see if the weezing would improve. It really didn't do too much and his blood oxygen was still very low so they started a second treatment with a different nurse who Joey evidently didn't like her ...
