Happy Thanksgiving

I got the following poem on email and thought you all might enjoy it. Have a great Thanksgiving!!! Happy Thanksgiving T'was the night of Thanksgiving, But I just couldn't sleep. I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep. The leftovers beckoned - The dark meat and white, But I fought the temptation With all of my might. Tossing and turning With anticipation, The thought of a snack Became infatuation. So, I raced to the kitchen, Flung open the door And gazed at the fridge, Full of goodies galore. I gobbled up turkey And buttered potatoes, Pickles and carrots, Beans and tomatoes. I felt myself swelling So plump and so round, 'Til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground. I crashed through the ceiling, Floating into the sky With a mouthful of pudding And a handful of pie. But I managed to yell As I soared past the trees... Happy eating to all - Pass the cranberries, please. May your stuffing be tasty, May your turkey be plump, May your potatoes 'n ...

High Speed Car Chase Ends on My Friend's Roof

Check out the news story on the web address below. I know the people that live in the 3rd house (the one the car landed on the roof of ending the high speed chase) You will have to copy and paste the address to get the news story as I can't seem to make it work as a link. If you go to the video clip available the man they interview is my friend's husband and I'm not sure, but I think the gal is her daughter in law. They live next door to each other and about 10-15 miles from our house. http://www.wmbb.com/gulfcoastwest/mbb/news.apx.-content-articles-MBB-2007-11-16-0001.html CEDAR GROVE, Fla. -- One man is dead after losing control of his car and crashing it into three houses. Officials with the Panama City Police Department say it happened just after midnight Friday morning. A Cedar Grove police officer spotted a speeding Chevy Trailblazer at 15th Street and East Avenue. The officer estimated the SUV was going over 100 mph and radioed that he was turning around to follo...

Thanksgiving Dinner

They served Thanksgiving Dinner at Alan's school on Friday. There are 900+ kids from PreK-5th grade AND their parents. It even tasted good!! I think they had lots of volunteers from the church that uses the Meritt Brown Middle School building next door to meet on Sundays. Here is a video clip of his class practicing their Indian song before we ate.

Milk Bank

The boys and I made another trip to Fed Ex to send a cooler of milk off to the Milk Bank in Raliegh, NC. Here is a picture of how we get everyone safely inside. Please note Joey's seat is usually hooked on my arm and not riding on the wagon. We had 595 ounces this time!! Here are a couple extra shots of Joey from this week.

All Smiles

Here is my current favorite picture of Joey. I took it 2 days ago while running errands. He LOVES this soft giraffee blanket from Great Aunt Kathy.

Saturday With The Saucers

Here are some pictures from our Saturday. We started with getting the 3 biggest boys (Daniel, Alan and Eddie) hair cut. Here is a picture of Alan and Eddie getting them done at the same time. Another pic of Alan getting buzzed. Since the Barber shop is in the same location as the Commissary we decided to takle a grocery run too.

Packer Pictures

The Packers won today 34-0 against the Minnesota Vikings. Go Pack!!!! Maybe wearing our Packer gear today helped, maybe not. At any rate we got some cute pictures of the boys.

3 month and other pics

Here is Joey's 3 month watch me grow picture. He weighed 15lbs with clothes 2 days ago. Joey is ALL Smiles these days All those smiles can really tucker a person out!! Eddie lookin' cool in his rugby shirt that Grandma brought from Ireland.

FIRE!! FIRE!! cried the Wolf

It never fails that something exciting HAS to happen while Daniel is out of town. I awoke this morning to the screaming alarm of our smoke dector and actually smelled smoke. I don't think I've ever sprung from bed so fast. I started yelling for Alan and Eddie to wake up as I burst into their room to grab them from bed. I put them on their feet and ran for Joey with them by my side. Then I stopped and realized we didn't see any fire. With Joey in my arms and the boys clung to my side we went through the house room by room and closet by closet. We found nothing, but I could still smell this faint burning smell. I called Daniel's cell, no answer. Called his work cell, no answer. My cell rings and I can't get to it in time. Call him again, no answer. He finally gets ahold of us and I explain the situation. Check the computer to see if it's an electrical fire he says. I already checked all the rooms and stuff, but who knows. Then I realize yesterday wa...

A Nuturing Brother

Alan and Eddie are still totally CRAZY about Joey!! Here is a video clip from this evening. Eddie took all his clothes off and was throwing a fit next to Joey on the floor. I picked Joey up and started to feed him. This made Eddie go nuts and scream louded. "I feed Joey" he exclaimed and kept grabbing at his nipple. It was extremely hard not to laugh. I did manage to grab the camera and get a short video clip for you. The drama continued. . .

Halloween

This was the view from our front yard on Halloween morning. We headed out bright and early to attend the Halloween party at Alan's school. The kids, including Eddie, got into their costumes and we paraded around from classroom to classroom and office to office trick or treating. Eddie could hardly stand on his own two feet by the time we were done. Here is a picture of Ms. Young helping him down the stairs. Joey got tuckered out as well. He is wearing a little pumpkin sleeper that Aunt Kathy gave me while I was in Greenbay. Her daughters, Laura and Sara wore it over 20 year ago!!! Here are the 3 Saucer boys with Alan's teachers, Ms. Young and Ms. Powell. Here is a picture of the whole class. I took the boys trick or treating by myself (Daniel was TDY) and we got way too much candy. I think Mommy will have to help them eat it all!! They had a blast and slept like rocks :P

Pumpkin Patch

We kept with our family tradition of going to the Pumpkin Patch in Clanton, AL with the Tucker family. I LOVE this tradition and hope to continue it for as long as possible. We met up with Chalane and her crew around 10am at the Grand 'Ole Pumpkin Patch and took some great family photos. Then we headed off to the pony rides and petting zoo. They also have an amazing sunflower field and real TeePee set up to play in. The kids had a great time running from TeePee to TeePee and playing. Then we had lunch and relaxed for a bit before the big event. We boarded the hay wagon and had a great ride to the actual Pumpkin Patch where they also have a HUGE pile of hay to jump and play in. The hay was so much fun we actually had to talk the kids into going out to find a pumpkin. The weather this year was BEAUTIFUL. It started out a bit chilly which really made it feel like fall, but by the time we were heading home is was "Sunny and 80" Here are a couple pictures from this y...

The Return Trip

On Thursday, Oct. 25th Eddie, Joey and I got up at 1:30am to begin our travels home. We had just over an hours drive to the airport and had to check in at 3:30am for the 5am flight. Again we made it to our first stop and made the connection no problems. When the plan was getting ready to leave Minneapolis we had to sit at the gate to burn fuel as the plane was too heavy!! This delay was going to make for a very tight connection in Memphis. I was prepared. I called the 800 number to get the gate number loaded the boys and all our gear into the baby limo and we RAN (I mean I really RAN) through the airport. The plane was still there, but they had closed the doors 2 min ago and they wouldn't let us get on. The man (single and probably age 25 with NO kids) got a direct flight to Panama City. Cool this should be no problem. I get to the counter with 2 screaming kids and they want to re-route me through Atlanta!?! I looked at the lady and very calmly said there was no way I wa...
