Wiggles

What a Wiggly weekend!!! My friend, Missy and I threw 5 car seats in the back of her van and loaded up the kids on Friday morning. We headed north to Birmingham and spent the night with her mom. The next day we lounged around visiting. We had to do so threatening to be left out of the big surprise we had planned on Sat. night, but made it through the day. I couldn't believe that Alan remembered seeing the Wiggles 2 years ago when we pulled in the the Civic Center!!! I got a bunch of short video clips from the concert. They allowed pictures, but no video so I had to be discreet about it. The people in the row behind us were actually told to stop video or they would have to leave. This was one time my camera was so little they wouldn't know whether I was taking video or just waiting for a good picture opportunity!!!

Here is a video of the Wiggles coming out on stage singing Eddie's all time favorite song, Big Red Car.

Here is the Wiggly Polka Hoop De Doo!!

Here is the Wiggly Polka Part 2.

Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Cockadoole Doo

Missy and I took turns to watch the kids and scope out the souvenirs. She came back with two little red stuffed guitars, so that is what Alan and Eddie wanted. I waited in line and when I got to the booth the lady informed me they were sold out, but would possibly have more available after the concert. I just looked her in the eye and said oh well I won't be getting anything then and turned and walked away. She had quite shocked expression as I'm sure the majority wouldn't leave empty handed. They probably run it that way thinking you will buy now and come back for that specific item and spend more later!!! Well Aidan had to use the restroom in the middle of the concert and Missy saw they had more out so she grabbed 2 for Alan and Eddie. Not 30 seconds after she returned with the guitars they sang Play Your Guitar With Murray and the boys were on cloud 9!!!

Joanie works with 5 Hammers. (We Sing it "Joey" Works with 5 Hammers at our house)

Can You Do The Twist??

where was Joey during the concert?? He was snuggled close to Mommy in the sling and slept through all but the last 2 songs.

First Day of School Panic Attack

Okay so most of you know I'm not the emotional mom on the first day of school. Alan started First Grade today and today was DIFFERENT!! I don't know why it was so hard to hold back the tears as the school bus pulled away. I suspect it had something to do with the fact he was riding the bus and I wasn't leaving him in a classroom with a smiling teacher and lots of new friends. Another part of it was knowing he was going to a bare walled classroom with a SUBSTITUTE teacher until they hire a full time teacher for his class. It's a good thing we were early to get to the bus stop. The bus came a full 10 minutes early!! Waiting for the school bus Waiting on the correct side of the street The bus is here!! Joey ran right for the doors trying to get on the bus and was quite upset he didn't get to ride.  He kept saying "I go school, I go school" This is a picture of the school taken from our driveway! Dreaming of a White Christmas

While a "White" Christmas is something many dream of, I'm pretty confident in saying I dream and pray that this will be my LAST white Christmas!! It's funny how the only things about snow that "stick" in your memory are the snowball fights, snowman building, sledding and FUN!!! Daniel and I decided the boys would really enjoy seeing snow for the first time this year. So we packed up our mini van turned into a sleigh and then hit the highway our destination was 2 days away. Over the highways and byways we glide to grandmother's house we drive. With turn right or turn left we trust GPS to get us there alive. It turns out we have very bad trip coordination with mother nature. She seemed to think this weekend was the perfect time for a blizzard/white out to visit the mid-west. This didn't quite sync with our driving plans. The further north we drove the talk of snow increased until it was finally falling and hitting our windshield. I warned them o...
