ipods at the Saucer house

The boys are really into music at our house. My dad and Mary recently posted about MP3 players on their blog. We have 2 at our house. Daniel has the ipod shuffle for running and I have the ipod 30g video to keep the boys entertained in waiting rooms and airports. Here is a video clip of Alan and Eddie listening and dancing with our ipods. I'm not sure how the video got turned sideways, but it's not too long so you shouldn't get too much of a stiff neck!!

update on Alan's playground

The time to post comments to help get the grant for the playground at Alan's school has expired. If they don't get the grant this time they will re-apply in the spring. I will be sure to post as things happen. Hopefully they will give us more time to post comments if we end up re-applying. Thanks to those who took the time to post this time around and hopefully they will get the money as the current playground is in pretty bad shape!!!

New Friends

Alan has a new buddy from preschool named Aidan. His mommy, Missy and I have gotten to be good friends while we are waiting to pick up our boys. Aidan has a little sister, Emily. She is 5 months older than Joey and she LOVES to make faces with Eddie!! We go to each other's houses after school to play. Here are some pictures of our new friends. Aidan and Alan LOVE to dress up in costumes. Here they are as Buzz and Woody from Toy Story. Here are Emily and Eddie playing on the floor. Joey is getting soooo BIG!! Here he is laying next to Emily who is 5 months older than him!!!

Pics of Joey

Joey is growing like a weed and changing so much. Here are some picture from the last 2 weeks.

My Birthday

I know it was awhile ago, but I wanted to share some pictures of what Daniel did for me. He took the day off work and totally worked on his honey do list. Here is a picture of the new shelves WITH all the stuff on them. Here is a picture of the stuff he hung on the wall over the couch. After all that hard work he and the boys took me to my favorite restaurant for dinner. We went to Carrabas which is a good 30-45 min drive so it was a VERY special treat!!!

More of Eddie's Obsessions

Yesterday we saw Eddie and his obsession with glasses. Today we'll take a look at Eddie and his obsession with vacuums. For those of you who are not yet aware of this obsession it has been on going for quite some time now. He LOVES LOVES LOVES to vacuum. We have 2 toy vacuums and this little sheep vacuum that was "hidden" because of it's noise and now has been "found". Here is a short video clip of him with his new found toy!!!

Glasses

Eddie has become come obsessed with glasses. He has them on his face all the time. Whether they are safety goggles from a toy tool kit or sunglasses he LOVES to wear them.

Catching Up on Pictures

I finally made the time to sort through all our digital pictures. I haven't done it since April!!! It took all day, but I was able to get it done. I have added 194 new pictures to our website. The link is to the left. Just click on The NEW Saucer Family Website under my favorite websites and choose the album you want to look at. I LOVE comments so leave me your two cents worth!!!

One Month

I know I'm a bit late posting this picture, but this is the "watch me grow" picture of Joey taken Sept. 7th.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

We celebrated Daniel's birthday this weekend by taking him out to eat at Uncle Ernie's, a brew pub on the water. The boys were fascinated with the water and watch all the sail boats dock while we waited for our food. Joey was an angel and slept the whole time until we were ready to take this family photo on our way out. Here are a couple more pictures from our weekend. Major Eddie Alan is still obsessed with his new little brother!!

2 Weeks

I know I'm posting this a couple days late, but here is a "watch me grow" picture of Joey at 2 weeks old. Here is a short video of Joey and Alan from the other day. I am having trouble with my regular video host so I'm using You Tube. I hope you can see it.

First Day of School

Today was the big day, Alan's first day of school. Here is a picture of our crew getting ready to walk him to school. You would think that since neither Alan or Eddie like to ride in the stroller taking the double stroller in case Eddie was too tired for walking the round trip total of 1.5 miles would be no problem. Guess again, they fought like mad about riding in the front of the stroller. I finally convinced Alan it was more fun to push and he could ride on the way home when we picked him up. Here is a picture of Alan's school, Tommy Smith Elementary. Here is the classroom door. Here is Alan waiting to be picked up.

Preschool Orientation

Yesterday we went to the neighborhood elementary school, Tommy Smith Elementary, for preschool orientation. Florida has an amazing pre-K program. The students have to turn 4 before Sept. 1st to qualify so Alan's birthday is just in the nick of time. Their Pre-K program is Monday through Friday (EVERYDAY) and from 7:45am-11am it's FREE then you have the option to pay to keep them at school until they dismiss all the students for the day at 2pm. We are going to pay to keep him there all day for a couple reasons: he needs to be pulled for speech thearapy, the extra time with kids his age will also help speech, and I don't think I can keep up will ALL 3 boys until Daniel gets home from work!!! Here is a picture of his teachers, Mrs. Powell and Mrs. Young. They have 18 students in the Pre-K class. Alan and Eddie had a great time playing while I was filling out the paperwork. The biggest problem I foresee is that we have to walk Alan to the classroom EVERYDAY and it'...

Jaundice and Back to the Hospital

Joey had a doctor appointment today and his jaundice levels are too high so we had to take him back and admit him to the hospital. He is spending the night under the photo thearpy lights and we will have his levels re-tested in the morning. The doctor thinks he will be home tomorrow evening.

Home

Joey and I made it home safely yesterday afternoon around 4pm. We are still pretty sore and exhausted. I really appreciate hearing from everyone and apologize if we missed calling anyone with the big news. I want to give my sister in law a big thank you for support in the delivery room as well as taking care of posting pictures. It will be awhile before I can get to putting more up. Amy

It's a boy!

At about 12:07 am this morning, Amy gave birth to a heathly baby boy! Joseph Daniel Saucer is 22 inches long and weighed 9 pounds and 12 ounches. I will be posting several pics I took of the baby in her album link from this blog (where all her others pics are linked!) The kid has lots of blonde looking curls. Very curly hair! XOXO - Kristine
